BELWIN
pond, old, lots
APPERANCE . |
Tall and slender framed, Belwin looks as one would expect an elf to look. She is tall for her Bosmer half, and on the low side of average for her Mother’s race. She moves gracefully and with confidence. Her skin is pale, with a hint of Altmer gold. Her almond eyes are a bright gold, in contrast to her hair which is a dark brown, edging in on black. She tends to keep it braided, albeit sloppily as she has to frequently do it in a hurry or on the run. She has some small scars on one side of her face from an encounter with a hagraven, but they have had a year to grow more faint but are still seriously noticeable.
STORY .[/i]
Belwin is a Skyrim born elf. She has never set foot in the Summerset Isles her mother grew up in, nor has she been to her father’s homeland of Valenwood. She was born there and spent all of her childhood in the College of Winterhold, where her mother is a Senior Mage. Belwin’s mother rarely spoke of the girl’s father, only ever stating that he was a bosmer. She has always assumed that he died before she was born. Like most of her race, Belwin was very gifted in magical abilities. Growing up in the college gave her an advantage as she had plenty of instructors, a plethora of books, and access to all types of magical artifacts to study. She was always especially good at destruction magic, despite her mother's insistence that she practice all schools equally. She learned enchanting and alchemy there as well. Her mother always had hopes that Belwin would stay at the college and someday fill one of the senior spots. Belwin had other plans.
She left the college and started traveling Skyrim at eighteen. There was an entire world out there she wanted to see. Not just Skyrim, but Cyrodiil and the Summerset Isles, Highrock and Morrowind. She had little interest in staying one place for a very long time. For a while she got by on her magic skills, enchanting weapons and making and selling potions with the ingredients she found in the woods. It was exciting to say the least. She'd been on the road for several months when she accidentally stumbled into a nest of hagravens. She would not have made it out of the fight on her own. Thankfully a hunter passing heard the commotion and came to her aid. She traveled with him for a while, he taught her to use a bow and arrow, and the art or tracking and sneaking. So it was that Belwin acquired the skills she needed to become a Witchhunter. The possibility of an exciting occupation had been mostly
She made a name for herself answering any bounties in holds that required getting rid of hagravens, witches, necromancers, and the occasional vampire. When she visited her mother she always lied about her occupation, swearing that she just traveled enchanting weapons and making potions for gold. Her mother would not approve of her real life decisions. There was good coin in clearing out witches and it was steady pay, Mages were always switching over to darker paths and needing to be dealt with. Her combination of magic and strength with a bow made her a force of her own. Soon she began getting requests from the people of Skyrim form Jarls to farmers. Her name was beginning to spread as the mercenary to deal with the supernatural.

Major Skills.
Alchemy: Belwin has been studying alchemy at the college since she could talk. During her travels she has found good places to get ingredients and supplements her income by making potions as well as making her own so she does not have to purchase them. It is not her favorite thing to do, and she would honestly rather not have to, but she has to eat too.
Enchanting: This activity is a little more pleasant for her. She will enchant her own weapons as well as those of commissions. She does not do it as a large portion
Destruction: Her personal favorite school of magic. She is most skilled at. Belwin is best with Fire spells, and has little control over the frost elements. Thankfully fire is most effective against the enemies she typically faces.
Restoration: Very useful in her line of work. She mostly uses this on herself, as she rarely travels with companions, but she can heal others as well.
Archery: A skill she began learning a few years ago and has become quite proficient at. She uses both a bow and a cross bow, though the former more often. She favors this over close combat. Her ability to keep her distance and kill as many enemies as possible before they get to her has saved her ass on more than one occasion.
Sneak: This combined with her previous skill is incredibly effective. She has to be good at sneaking. She only uses this in her hunting. She never uses it for thieving or killing anyone who is not one of the evil creatures she’s called in to take care of.
Weapons, Armor, and Belongings.
Lunar Steel Dagger: A small steel dagger that Belwin enchanted herself, and is more effective during the night hours. It is always at one hip even when she is not hunting. She prefers using her bows and magic, but when close combat becomes necessary its a good thing to have around.
Hunting Bow: For years she has been meaning to enchant her bow. It is nothing special. Just a plain wooden bow. She acquired it from the hunter who taught her archery and has kept the same one since. She’s learned basic repairs for it, but her smithing abilities are hardly up to par.
Cross Bow: Just a plain wooden cross bow. It is not one she purchased it, but recovered it from a corpse in a vampire’s nest. Its a bit more difficult to use than her normal bow, but she’s learning.
Leather Armor: Belwin wears unmarked black leather armor. which is light enough for her to move in, but still provides her enough protection that she can deal with things. She wears it more often than she does any civilian attire.
Enchanted Silver and Moonstone Circlet: A circlet given to her by her mother that Belwin enchanted to increase accuracy with her bows. It is a little more flashy than she would have liked, but she did not pick it out. Her mother did. Her mother who thinks that her occupation is enchanting and alchemy not creeping around in dark caves to kill magical creatures.
